Spay and Neuter Clinic As a special service to our community, Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Group offers a low cost  spay and neuter clinic on the following Wednesdays, once a month in 2012: January 25 February 29 March 28 April 25 May 30 June 27 July 25 August 29 September 26 October 24 November 28 December 19 The cost of surgery includes the following: pre-anesthesia examination intravenous catheter placement premedication and post surgery pain reliever general gas anesthesia spay or neuter surgery post operative observation All patients must be current on vaccinations, if not current, vaccines will be administered at an additional charge the day of surgery.  Owner must provide records at time of surgery as proof of vaccination. Not Included: General blood work (offered but not required) Take home pain medication Other lab tests (heartworm, feline leukemia/Aids testing, etc.) There are  additional charges for larger animals (female dog weighing over 70 pounds), medications for infections or other illnesses, advanced pregnacy, prediagnosed infections, undescended testicles, or animal in estrus cycle (in heat).  If your pet falls into this category, any additional charges would be discussed prior to performance of the services and surgery. All patients will be discharged the day of surgery if overnight care requested or required, it would be at owner's expense. The prices for surgery on these days are as follows:  Dog Spay: $80.00 Cat Spay: $55.00 Dog Neuter: $60.00 Cat Neuter: $35.00 Payment is due at the time of surgery.  Only cash and credit cards are accept fot this clinic.
